In my research I found that the most effective, logical, scientific form of psychotherapy out there was Human Givens Therapy. There is a book that you may want to read called The Human Givens. This book has been on the New York Times best sellers list and is a fantastic introduction to this form of therapy. I am only familiar with the London based centres but I suggest you look at the Portman & Tavistock NHS Trust based in Swiss Cottage London.
